  • Improving/ensuring access and disseminate reliable/credible information through the (new/mainstream) media (radio, TV, newspapers – online and offline).
  •  Coordinating and facilitating the operations of the media in the State as provided for in the legal framework.
  • Guiding and leading the process of drafting several policies (e.g. theatre policy, information and media policy, information services, cinematography, policy broadcasting and television services) that guide the operations of the media sector.
  • Entertaining and educating the public through the media.
  • The ministry of information is committed and pledge to delegate all necessary effort and resources at its disposal to promote holistic transformation and adjustment of the media and communication sector in the state with the latest technology so as to next world class standards.
  • Creating a sustainable environment for the growth of media and film industry and spreading the information of all government policies, program and achievements.
  • Promoting and developing the broadcasting industries and upgrade public broadcasting sectors.
  • Helping to expand infrastructure support and create options for young talents to join in the fields of print and electronic media, films and show their potential.
  • Promoting good cinemas, music and propagate film culture through film festivals and celebrations.
